Skunk Hollow to Biathlon Course

  • Groomed Nordic Trail
  • Moderate Difficulty
  • 4.28 miles
  • 375 feet ascent
  • 7850 – 8075 feet elevation

This path departs from the Skunk Hollow parking lot that’s located just south of the Casper Mountain Trail Center. Alternatively, you can leave north from the trail center. A short distance up the lighted trail, the first path to the right drops down to the Skunk Hollow parking lot.

After leaving Skunk Hollow, follow portions Bear Trap and Tower Hill Loops, the Eadsville Trail and the Biathlon Connector to the Biathlon area. The last hill into the Biathlon area is very steep. I judged it beyond my ability and turned back there.

The turn around point was close enough to see and hear activities below. The day I was there a high school cross country meet was being held. There were probably about 300 – 400 participants and spectators.
