Bishop’s Loop – Casper Mountain

Distance: 2.6 miles
Total Ascent: 300 feet
Elevation: 7850 feet

Bishop’s Loop departs to the west of the Casper Mountain Trail Center and swings to the north across Strube Loop. After passing behind the Casper Mountain maintenance facility, it leaves Parks Department grounds making a large loop.

Lighted Trail – Casper Mountain

Distance: 0.75 miles
Total Ascent: 75 feet
Elevation: 7850 feet

The Lighted Trail begins at the Casper Mountain Trail Center. Numerous alternative routes are accessible via the crisscrossing trails that make up the maize that forms the interior of the lighted trail. This is the only illuminated Nordic trail on Casper Mountain for those that want to ski at night.

Strube Loop – Casper Mountain

Rating: Easy
Trail Type: Groomed
Distance: 1.3 miles
Total Ascent: 150 feet
Elevation: 7850 feet

Strube Loop is the road from Casper Mountain Road down to the Braille Trail. Parking is available at the Casper Mountain Trail Center or Skunk’s Hollow (Casper Mtn Rd & Strube Loop).

While the Braille Trail is a wonderful summer trail, it is not open during the winter months. A skiing or snow shoeing side trip on it is prohibited.
